Beyond Reason's Edge - album notes

So this is my third album under the name Saiku Sapien. I have always wanted to do a very dark album with metal overtones. I think it is a perfect time to unleash my dark inner imaginations since there is a lot of uncertainty in our world today. This album reflects how I see things and the struggles of how our human existence is unfolding. We are on the edge of reason, where truth and conscience seems to lie somewhere beyond our reach. From the darkness of war to the troubling political climate to the eventual machinations of AI, our loss of common sense does not bode well for us as humans. We can be better but unhealthy egos get in the way. As always tho' there is a way out. We just have to find our way.

Most of the songs on this album were penned in my distant past. I think they are still relevant in our present time. Technology has caught up to who I was so now I am able to actually complete them myself with the help of some very talented players from my previous releases. Thanks to Terry Belmore, Greg Timmons, and Asa Fisher for your tremendous lead guitars. Thanks to Scott Radosevich for the wonderful organ leads and Jim Stromberg for some great drumming.
