So Wrong

Thanks to Greg Timmons for your perfect guitar parts. Your lead and harmony guitar parts really made this song come alive.

I used to do a lot of dates with Tracer back in my club gigging days. At the time we were doing 5-6 nights a week, even 20 days in a row with double gigs in one day. We wanted to get out of doing bars and clubs so we decided to write original songs to break out of the cycle. This was one of those songs that we did a few times but it never really jelled quite the way I wanted it to so we dropped it. Since this album is much heavier, I decided to see if I could make it work.

I took a picture of myself just yesterday
Framed in broken glass with a look so far away
I should have bought a headstone to put on my shoulders
'Cause I buried a piece of my heart
I couldn't have treated you colder

I’ve been so wrong to be without you
Oh I, I've been so wrong

No tellin', no tellin' what I have done
I'm losin' all that I have, now its got me on the run
And if there ever was a time when I needed you so
Its now or never, don't you let the cold wind blow

I’ve been so wrong to be without you
Oh I, I've been so wrong
I've been so, oh so wrong, to be without you
I've been so wrong

I'm packin' all that I have and I'm headin' for home
I've been too long gone, too long gone, I've had enough
I know its true, got to be with you, I know now deep in my heart
Please don't disown me, you know it'd only tear me apart

I’ve been so wrong to be without you
Oh I, I've been so wrong
I've been so, oh so wrong, to be without you
I've been so wrong
