Look For That Reason originally started out as an electronic piece but developed into its current form after changing up the rhythm a bit. I wanted this to be a heavier hitting song more like the progressive rock of the 70s and 80s. It is the transitional piece in terms of style from this album to the next album which will contain much darker themes.
The lyrics are born out of the frustration and despair that I feel is coming into the general public on the state of current affairs. The anger and the apathy of not being able to change how we view each other is disturbing. We are becoming more polarized each day. It seems that those of us who are trying to be reasonable are being shouted down by those that are unreasonable. Reason and love of being human is what is going to pull us out of the danger we are in. When we cease to use reason as a means to work out our differences, our civilization breaks down and we become more like animals. I feel that as humans we can rise above this. We are not animals. Now's the time.
Guest Musician - Greg Timmons Lead Guitar. Greg does a great guitar solo on this tune. Check him out on "Freeway Where the Man Goes" from The HeartThieves album. He rips on that one too.

LOOK FOR THAT REASON
Elusive dreams and wayward signs,
They seem to rhyme with broken hearts
that crumble like – dust in time
Framed in pictures thru' an empty hall,
Reminders left in the changing light
of what was - so long ago
Faded lives in the night
Have you a fuse or flame without light?
Look for that reason
Reach for a sign
Change, tho' change comes with the seasons
Remember Now's The Time
Backward ways and wasted days
Go round n' round, tho' its all the same
No one dares to take the blame
Unguided hands from the lonely heart
Are reaching out into the total dark
It’s so hard to find what's real
I'm asking you, 'Are you there?'
'Or are you just mass in the air?'
Look for that reason
Reach for a sign
Change, tho' change comes with the seasons
Remember Now's The Time
Look both ways, take the choice,
draw the line - vice versus love
Where are you?
Are you without feeling within?
Lost without love?
Look at what could be - Can't you see, if we found love?
Look for that reason
Reach for the signs
Change, tho' change comes with the seasons
Remember Now's The Time
